Summary
KRAV has standards for aquaculture covering conversion, environmental aspects, animal welfare, health, feed and slaughter. There are specific standards for salmonoids, perch and mussels (KRAV Standards chapter 7).
Difference
There are no detailed rules for aquaculture in EU Regulation 2092/91 but there is a reference to the possibility for the Member States to recognise private standards.
Justification
There is an interest from consumers to also get organic aquaculture products. There are several environmental and health issues in aquaculture were organic production makes a difference.
EU Regulation
Annex I. Principles of organic production and processing > Aquaculture - not in EC Reg
