Summary

Bee keeping may not take place within six kilometres of a sugar factory, dumping site, refuse burning facility or road trafficed more than 6000 vehicles per day.

Difference

The standard is more precise in excluding possible sources of contamination.

Justification

Above mentioned facilities are considered to bear contamination risks to organic beekeeping. The Member States may designate regions or areas where beekeeping complying with the EU Regulation 2091/91 is not practicable.
