International organic certification body; Active in over 70 countries in Asia, Africa, North & South America with local offices in more than 20 countries. Head office in Switzerland is also in charge of organic inspections and certification in Switzerland. Independent office in Germany for inspections and certifications in Germany and Turkey. In addition to organic certification, various other certifications are offered such as Forest Stewardship Council FSC, Marine Stewardship Council MSC, Global Organic Textiles Standard, IMO fair for Life Social & Fairtrade Certification. IMO certifies more than 1500 operators world-wide, many of which are smallholder producer groups. International certification activities are mainly according to the EU Organic Regulation, many also to NOP and some also to JAS. Close cooperation with all leading organic private labels to ensure that IMO certified operations are easily re-certified according to necessary private labels, e.g. Naturland or Demeter.
