Certification fees and inspection fees for organic farmers in the country

Farmers can choose between billing based on costs or on lump sums. Cost based fees are charged with 42 €/hour. GfRS indicates possible annual control fees between 187 and 420 €. Additional services are charged with 42 € per hour. Lump sum control fees for farms are based on the area farmed and the type of production. GfRS distinguishes between five fee classes for farms. The minimum control fee (lump sum) for farms is 160 € and the maximum is 360 € per year for farms up to 100 ha. Farms bigger than 100 ha are billed based on inspection costs. All prices are exclusive of VAT.

Certification fees and inspection fees for organic processors in the country

Control fees for processors are based on inspection costs. one working hour (preparation, inspection, certification) is charged with 42 € per hour based on quarter hours (at 10,50 € each). The annual lump sum for communication is 12,50 €. Travel costs are charged per kilometre (0,38 €/km) or actual costs (train ticket + taxi). No working time is charged for the travelling time. All prices are exclusive of VAT.
