SGS offers a wide range of quality / safety management systems and product certification services. One of these services is organic certification and SGS is approved in all Austrian federal states.

Several other SGS offices in Europe do organic certification.

Certification fees and inspection fees for organic farmers in the country

Basic fee: 88 €; Variable fees: arable land: 5.90 €/ha; grass land: 5.20 €/ha; extensive grass land: 2.50 €/ha; Perennial cultures and special cultures: 11.60 €/ha. However, max. 554 € per farm for annual control. Control according to private standards: 17 €/ standard.
