Summary

The use of tropical and subtropical timber for support stakes in orchards is prohibited. (NL standards on production, Part B.VI. Fruit cultivation 3.)

Difference

The NATURLAND standard has additional requirements with regards to the use of tropical timber, which is not regulated by the EU Regulation 2092/91.

Justification

This refers to the holistic approach and the ecological principle of organic farming.
