Summary

Feeding stuffs of animal origin other than milk and milk products cannot be given to herbivores. (DI production standards, 5.5.2. Feeding of dairy cows, sheep, goats and horses; DI production standards, 5.5.4. Feeding of replacement calves, calves for fattening, foal, lambs and kids)

Difference

The DI standards restricts feeding stuffs of animal origin for herbivores. According to the EU Regulation 2092/91 fish and other animal products derived from the sea can be fed.

Justification

Feeds must be appropriate to the class of animals and its physiological needs.
