Summary

Colonies must have the opportunity to construct natural combs. (Bioland production standards, 4.10.2.3 Wax and Honeycombs)

Difference

The BIOLAND standard is more detailed. The EU Regulation 2092/91 does not require the natural construction of combs.

Justification

To enable the bees to carry out their natural behaviour.
