Summary

Livestock must be fed on organically produced feedingstuffs (Annex B, 4.2). Moreover, in the case of herbivores, except during the period each year when the animals are under transhumance, at least 50 % of the feed shall come from the farm unit itself, or in case this is not feasible be produced in cooperation with other organic farms.(Annex I B, 4.3.)
